Seismic Station - Overview

Seismic Station is a tool for viewing seismic data, with a future goal to allow processing of seismic data. We offer a cost-effective software solution to view and investigate seismic data with an emphasis on user interactivity.  Easily navigate to areas of interest on the location view with the click of a button. Real time sample/header readouts for current and neighboring traces allows users to quickly understand their data in real-time.

Software Capabilities

  • View sgy, segy files​

    • Create and load header mappings​​​

    • View EBCDIC header through the right-click menu

    • Investigate sample data relative to the mouse position via

      • Single sample readout

      • Neighboring sample data in a table view

    • Investigate headers using the header mouse mode

      • Select the trace to investigate. Headers for the corresponding trace (and neighboring traces) will be displayed in a table view with the selected trace headers highlighted​​​

  • Display Options

    • Current ensemble information printed to GUI for easy scaling

    • Display Modes:

      • Variable density (smoothing available)

      • Standard Wiggle view​

    • Five built-in color bars​

    • Scaling:

      • RMS

      • Min/Max absolute scaling

      • Easy buttons to set to current ensemble ranges​

    • Separate viewing properties for seismic and location panes

  • Data Navigation - Navigate datasets with a built-in interactive location pane

    • On-the-fly sorting by headers or sequentially

    • Move to locations with the click of a mouse button

    • Location readout printed to information bar​
